Don't sleepwalk though life

Writer: Eric SweivenEric Sweiven

There is nothing worse than luke warm coffee. It needs to be either hot or cold - lukewarm causes the drinker to quickly spit it out (at least I do, do you?).

Many people work hard, strive for a better something- better skills, better job, better relationships - they want to get to the next level. Yet the same people are often like luke warm coffee - they want better but have no idea how to get there, how to make things better so that they can be better.

I suggest the way to make yourself and then consequently other areas of your life, better is through gratitude. I believe the power and consequence of gratitude is highly mistaken.

Gratitude is realized through forgiveness. To forgive is be grateful. You cannot be grateful without forgiveness with toward others and toward yourself. When you begin to forgive you realize how much you have to be grateful for - how much you have.

To forgive is to make a decision - you must either be hot or cold - lukewarm does not get you to forgiveness and then to gratefulness.

Those who fumble about and live their lives lukewarm will never find the power and freedom of forgiveness nor the reward of gratefulness. They never make a decision to be hot, or cold - they wait for others to tell them. They never fully realize the gift this life is and all they have to be grateful for.

The more grateful you become, the more you can live your unique life - be your unique self -and that is not sleepwalking.
